7 Days to Die Server Guide

Setup

  1. Deploy a game server and select 7 Days to Die
  2. Basic tier or higher for best performance
  3. Set your server name and game world

Configuration

Built-in configuration - You set this up when you start the campaign and can edit it in the Settings tab of the game panel:

  • Server Name - Server display name on the server browser
  • Max Players - Maximum players on the server
  • Game Difficulty - 0-5 difficulty setting
  • Auto Update - automatically update the server on start
  • Beta Branch - install from the beta branch
  • Telnet Password - Password for the telnet console.

World Options

  • Navezgane - Hand-crafted world
  • Random Gen - Procedurally generated worlds
  • Custom worlds can be uploaded via SFTP

Modding

Upload mods to the /Mods/ directory. The server loads them automatically on startup. Popular mods include Darkness Falls and Undead Legacy.

Blood Moon

Configure Blood Moon (horde night) frequency and difficulty in the server config. Default is every 7 days.
