Minecraft Server Setup Guide
Quick Start
- Go to Game Servers → Deploy New Server
- Select Minecraft (Java or Bedrock)
- Choose your plan (Starter works for 2-5 players)
- Create your campaign and wait for provisioning
Server Types
- Vanilla - Standard Minecraft experience
- Paper - Optimized with plugin support (recommended)
- Forge - Full mod support
- Fabric - Lightweight modding
- Spigot/Purpur - Plugin ecosystems
- BungeeCord/Velocity - Proxy for multi-server networks
Configuration
Edit server.properties from the file manager:
server-name=My NoobHost Server
max-players=20
difficulty=normal
gamemode=survival
pvp=true
view-distance=10
Performance Tips
- Use Paper for the best performance without mods
- Set
view-distanceto 8-10 for most servers - Use Aikar's flags (pre-configured on NoobHost)
- Monitor TPS from the console with
/tps
Common Issues
- Can't connect - Check your IP and port, make sure the server is online
- Lag/low TPS - Reduce view distance, limit entities, consider upgrading
- Mods crashing - Check version compatibility in the console log
